Why Almaviva Chose OnePlan

The Transport & Logistics Division of Almaviva selected OnePlan following an in-depth analysis conducted by the MOOVA Team, as a natural next step in a broader journey of growth in project and portfolio management which began during the Research and Development phase, a phase characterized by intentionally flexible team structures to foster innovation. Over time, as processes matured, the need for greater structure and visibility emerged, leading to the adoption of a solution capable of supporting increasing organizational complexity. OnePlan stood out for its ability to manage structured initiatives across the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to feature-level tracking, while enabling advanced data relationships and customized views. Featured Highlights

  • Demand Management & Ideation Intake
  • Resource Planning
  • Timesheets
  • Financial Tracking & Forecasting
  • Product Architecture Mapping

Top Challenges

  • Inability to relate project data across products and architecture
  • Fragmented tracking of initiatives, hours, and financials
  • Manual, spreadsheet-driven reporting processes
  • Lack of standardized best practices across product teams
  • Lack of a common language

As delivery processes evolved, teams increasingly recognized the value of having a unified view across initiatives, resource allocation, and product development alignment with portfolio goals. The company’s demand intake and ideation processes, initially informal to encourage creativity and agility, naturally progressed toward the need for more structured workflows. With this evolution, the opportunity emerged to seamlessly connect approved requests to the product roadmap and broader strategic initiatives—laying the foundation for more integrated and e icient planning. As operations expanded, the opportunity arose to enhance consistency and e iciency in managing timesheets, tracking financial progress, and reporting on resource hours. Moving to more integrated and automated processes improves visibility, promotes better information sharing, and establishes a common language across teams, ultimately providing clearer insights for more agile decision-making

OnePlan provided the BU Product team with an Adaptive Strategic Portfolio Management solution tailored to the needs of its product-driven delivery model. The platform now supports the full lifecycle of each product from idea intake to deployment by introducing a structured workflow for request submissions and approvals. These requests are then converted into initiatives and mapped into the product roadmap with clearly defined stages and ownership. The implementation introduced a multi-level portfolio hierarchy, allowing teams to define and manage the initiative in an incremental way, starting from the highest level (initiatives) that include an overall description and a top-down estimations, moving towards the feature increments that contain all specific details (functional requirements) and a bottom-up estimation. OnePlan’s native timesheet functionality allows the BU Product team to monitor resource hours globally, with dashboards that reflect time spent on each task. Financials are automatically updated through integrated WIP tracking, eliminating the need for manual spreadsheet edits. Dashboards now provide real-time views of financials and e ort distribution, not only in Power BI but also directly within OnePlan giving leadership and executives a direct window into performance. The experience with the OnePlan team was collaborative and responsive, with immediate answers and customizations that addressed BU Product team specific needs. From workflow automation to embedded dashboards, the result is a comprehensive platform that connects people, processes, and tools in one place.
