Top Challenges

Siloed operations within its IT Portfolio, as each department operated independently, leading to a lack of transparency, collaboration, governance and effective problem-solving.

McCormick & Company is undergoing a multi-year global business & technology transformation strategy program. In order to effectively plan, manage and deliver the various transformation projects comprising this important program. McCormick had multiple fragmented systems in place for portfolio management processes. During the entire lifecycle of a project, teams were switching between toolsets, and the data wasn’t being carried over. Therefore, McCormick sought a Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) software solution that could provide the necessary visibility and ability to track relevant data.

Together with Microsoft, OnePlan Solutions met with McCormick’s Program leadership and core program management team to understand their functional and technical needs.

OnePlan recommended an Adaptive Portfolio Management framework that will leverage OnePlan technology to provide visibility and consistent portfolio management decisions across all teams and functions, while allowing different teams the flexibility to use varying methods and tools for executing work and projects.
